As the sun has already set on September, you might wonder what the Riley family has been up to, since we were clearly not blogging for your enjoyment. Heck, I might wonder if there is still anyone who checks this blog... 
We have been up to a lot in September including painting our house.
We lost our tree in our front yard.... Our ash tree was taken away by the city forestry department because it had a crazy infestation they had not seen before. It's autopsy report revealed a carpenter moth- the tree was dead from the inside out.
Mommy has been crazy, providing craft projects galore. 
We made Gak.... I now know why it is called Gak- because whoever makes this fun little craft will look around their kitchen and say "GAK!" (for those of you unschooled in 1980's kids tv shows "gak" is a solid that turns liquid when it touches your hands)

We melted crayons for repurposing- fun but difficult.
And finally, we entertained the kids! Rebecca is quite the budding photographer- self portraits are her favorite!
